Walking Safari

Imfolozi

Not for the faint-hearted!

This beautiful Walking Safari wilderness in Imfolozi is not for the faint-hearted. Sleeping in the bush with the big five roaming around can be an intimidating experience, to say the least.

We have done the most incredible 4-day adventure walking safari in the Imfolozi wilderness area! Words can’t even begin to describe the magic we experienced during this wilderness trail.

Imagine walking through the bush in complete silence, surrounded by nature’s symphony. And then, out of nowhere, we stumbled upon majestic rhinos, graceful elephants, and even a herd of buffalo! It was like being in a real-life National Geographic documentary!

But the views… oh my goodness, the views! The vast stretches of untouched Imfolozi wilderness were absolutely breathtaking. It felt like we were standing on top of the world, taking in the beauty of Mother Nature’s masterpiece.

Now, I won’t lie, this adventure requires some physical commitment. We walked most of the day, exploring every nook and cranny of this incredible landscape. But let me tell you, it was worth every step! The sense of accomplishment and connection with nature is indescribable.

Our guides were absolute gems!  Their knowledge about the area and its wildlife was mind-blowing. They made sure we felt safe and informed throughout the entire journey. And even though the facilities were basic, they were more than adequate for our needs. Plus, the cook back at camp whipped up the most delicious breakfasts and evening meals!

Now, I must admit, this adventure might not be everyone’s cup of tea. But for those of us who thrive in the bush and crave the excitement of sounds in the wild, this experience will be nothing short of extraordinary.

If you’re up for a challenge, if you’re ready to immerse yourself in the wonders of nature, then I highly recommend embarking on a wilderness trail in the Imfolozi wilderness area. Trust me, it will be a special and valuable experience that will stay with you forever.
